The A-Z Of the Christian Life: (A) Absitnence

Hi guys, welcome to my awesome blog. I hope you are blessed as you read. Over the next few days or weeks am going to be going through the A-Z of the Christian Life. That is a life led by Christ. This should hopefully help you grow spiritually because i am going to scrutinize each letter for your benefit. So sit back and relax.

ABSTINENCE
The act or practice of refraining from indulging an appetite or desire, especially for alcoholic drink or sexual intercourse. In this post, we are going to be addressing sex before marriage.

What does 'True Love Waits' mean?
To me, this phrase means to wait until you find true love. I never really knew about waiting for true love until i got saved and really started to pursue God. God changed me in many ways and showed me that Purity is important above all. I got saved in 2012. But I didn't really start seeking God until 2013. Whilst seeking God, he helped me with some issues I was having and then i decided to get a purity ring. I made a vow to GOD, my parents and my future spouse to stay pure until marriage. 

 
I love my purity ring because it reminds me constantly of the promise i made to stay pure. I have worn my purity ring since April 2013 till this day. I never take it off. I wear it everywhere. It has traveled with me and made my left hand look pretty in pictures. when i bought it it was silver with 8 diamonds(fake ones). But now, due to excessive use, it has become copper and all the diamonds fell out. But that doesn't stop me from wearing it.

 Above is the picture of my left hand with two rings. The love heart one is just for decoration. I got that one recently just to make my purity ring look cool.

One of my favorite bible verses that talks about purity as well as encouraging us youths to be living examples of purity is: 1 Timothy 4:12

I love this verse and i would recommend you memorize it if you want. 

I love this verse and I always incorporate it in my prayers daily.

Be pure for God is pure.
